We have two monthly meetings where members learn leadership skills by organising and conducting meetings in which they complete different projects.
The projects address skills such as listening, planning, motivating and team building giving members the opportunity to practice them.
At the beginning of our meetings, members give interesting speeches that last for 5 to 7 minutes each.
These speeches cover a wide range of topics, from personal stories and real-life experiences to informative talks and fun discussions.
It’s a place where ideas grow, and people become more confident when they speak.
In the second part of our meeting, we give speakers a chance to come up on stage and answer unexpected questions.
Table Topics is a great way to practice speaking in casual conversations, which helps you get ready for situations like job interviews, work talks, and networking chats. Take this opportunity to get better at thinking quickly, speaking clearly, and confidently expressing yourself in unplanned situations.
Every member gets to give and get feedback.
They help us improve by giving us specific advice on what to work on. Through feedback, we not only get better at speaking but also learn how to give useful advice to others.
No! Simply introduce yourself with your name and what brought you to the meeting. If you’re moved to, you can volunteer to speak more during ‘table topics’
Our meetings are about 2 hours.
Afterwards we head to the pub next door for a drink and chat! The pub is totally optional and at your discretion.
